2020 Crystal Lake Bomber Tryouts

HitTrax Tryouts will be held at Player's Choice Academy, located at 2806 Corporate Parkway, Algonquin, IL, 60102.

The Crystal Lake Bombers will be hosting the first portion of their 2020 HitTrax Tryouts on the following dates:
Monday, July 8, 2019
Wednesday July 10, 2019
9U/10U - 5pm-6pm
11U/12U - 6pm-7pm
13U/14U - 7pm-8pm
15U/16U - 8pm-9pm
Outdoor Tryouts will be held at Lippold Boncosky Turf Fields, located at 851 IL-176, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
The Crystal Lake Bombers will be hosting the second portion of their 2020 Outdoor Tryouts on the following dates:
Monday, July 15, 2019
Monday July 29, 2019
9U/10U - 5pm-8pm
11U/12U - 5pm-8pm
13U/14U - 5pm-8pm
15U/16U - 5pm-8pm
New players must attend the first tryout and may be asked to come back on second date.
The Bombers organization strongly encourages for players to play with their grade level.
Players need to arrive 15 - 20 minutes early to register and be prepared with the following:
Number on a shirt or jersey
Wear baseball attire including turf shoes
Glove, bat and batting helmet (if they have a helmet)
Water bottle or something to keep hydrated

Opportunities the Crystal Lake Bombers offer:
Crystal Lake Bombers main mission is to prepare each player for a future in baseball. Our players understand that winning is the reason we play the game, however it is important to achieve this goal through a focused professional approach that incorporates a dedicated respect for the game. To insure this outcome, the Crystal Lake Bomber's use only professionally trained and certified coaches (not player parents except for the younger ages of 10U and 11U) to manage and coach our teams.
The Crystal Lake Bombers use Players Choice Academy in Algonquin as their choice of training facilities. Each Bomber player has the opportunity to train seven days a week.
2020 Crystal Lake Bombers players will be asked to participate in the following training sessions:
8 weeks / 1.5 hours Cost per Bomber player based on participation
Ages 10-11 Fridays Late October - Mid December
Ages 12-13 Fridays Late October - Mid December
Ages 14-15 Sundays Late October - Mid December
Ages 16-17 Sundays Late October - Mid December
8 weeks / 1 hour (teams will be with just their age group) Cost per Bomber player based on participation
Ages 10-11 Mondays Late October - Mid December
Ages 12-13 Mondays Late October - Mid December
Ages 14-15 Thursdays Late October - Mid December
Ages 16-17 Thursdays Late October - Mid December
VELOCITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM.
(depending on age group clinic will run mid Oct - mid Jan)
Cost per Bomber player $150.00
Bombers players will be asked to participate in a throwing program designed to improve velocity and arm strength. This program will meet 2-3 times per week for 8 weeks. Players will receive a throwing program, and guidance on exercises and drills to reach their goals.
Each session will be 2 hours. Cost TBD (discount on doing all sessions)
Crystal Lake Bombers will be hosting a hitting, pitching and fielding clinic with instructors and scouts from MLB.
Uniform / Shoe fitting:
Uniforms and shoes will be sized mid December. New Balance will be the approved shoe and will be present at fitting. Uniforms will be distributed at an organization meeting in mid February.
